Our vision is simple . . . “Love God, Love People and Care For The Hurting!”

Jesus said in Mark 12:30Mark 12:30

30 you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment.

WP-Bible plugin that the greatest commandment is to love God with all your heart, mind and spirit.  When we do this we are able to keep the 1st four of the 10 commandments because they all deal with our direct relationship with God.  Jesus then said in Mark 12:31Mark 12:31

31 The second is like this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”

WP-Bible plugin that the second is to love our neighbor as ourselves.  When we do this we are then able to fulfill the last 6 of the 10 commandments which deal directly with our relationship with one another.  Thus Love God, Love People.  Finally, James 1:27James 1:27

27 Pure religion and undefiled before our God and Father is this: to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.

WP-Bible plugin tells us that “Pure and undefiled religion is this . . . to care for the widows and orphans in their time of trouble.”  That is where we get “to care for the hurting.

Our core values are as follows:

1. Loving - We feel that the greatest power in this world is the love of Christ.  It was His love for us that drove Him to the cross to die for us.  It is love that covers a multitude of sins and it will be love that will usher in the presence of the Lord.

   WP-Bible plugin that “He came to serve and not to be served.”  It is through serving that we learn to know Christ and to make Him known to others.
3. Spirit-filled – We are spirit filled congregation that believes in the power of the Holy Spirit’s work in the world.  Therefore we believe in the gifts of the spirit (1 Cor. 12) and that they are needed in the church in order for it to grow into maturity in the Lord.
4. Uncompromising – We believe that a key value is to be uncompromising in the word of God.  God’s word is the standard for life.
5. Worshipful - We believe that there is power when we learn to love and worship our creator.  When we adore Him (Jesus) then His attributes begin to overtake our lives such as love, peace, joy, longsuffering, etc.
